Generations Together wins LeadingAge Community Service Award

Kim Berliant (third from left) accepted the Massachusetts LeadingAge Community Service Award for 2013 on behalf of JCHE's Generations Together program. Kim, along with others from CJP Women's Philanthropy join JCHE residents weekly to create hand-sewn hearts for Harvard and Boston University medical students and Dana Farber patients. Kim was instrumental in broadening the reach of the to sew hearts for victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

Kim was joined at the awards ceremony by the following JCHE staff members (left to right) was Caren Silverlieb, JCHE's Director of Strategic Partnerships and Planning; Jessica Hamermesh,Director of Generations Together; Amy Schectman, CEO; Barbara Friedman, former director of JCHE's Generations Together and the creator of the Feelie Hearts program; and Sarah Ovadia, Director of Major Gifts.


Kim received the Community Service Award from Elissa Sherman, CEO of LeadingAge, and Board member Paul Hollings.
