The Brighton Campus celebrates Purim!

Posted: March 7, 2012

The festive holiday of Purim was celebrated with great joy in our Brighton communities. The history of this fun-filled holiday was explained to a very mutli-cultural and appreciative audience. The tradition calls upon gift-giving, and brightly decorated boxes were distributed to all. JCHE's Brighton buildings have a few treasured Purim traditions of its own and these were the hallmark of the evening. The Zaitchik Brothers band has filled the hall of our Purim celebrations with wonderful music for 23 years -- and as always, their complelling sounds drew people to the dance floor. Like in past years, everyone enjoyed the delicious deli sandwiches from Rubin's Kosher Restaurants (with pickles on every table!) And of course. if it's Purim, their must be hamantaschen -- and yes, they were delicious!
