Kudos to Lee Paderson for winning the local Salute to Seniors Contest

Posted: March 18, 2014

Shillman House resident Lee Paderson is devoted to volunteerism and Home Instead Senior Care has acknowledged her work with a special award.

Lee volunteers in a variety of ways for the Shillman community, including managing the front desk and greeting visitors with her warm smile. Lee is also a regular volunteer at the Pearl Street Cupboard & Cafe, a Framingham-based food pantry. When she is there, she helps wherever she is needed and finds it gratifying to contribute her time so that others can get food.

The Home Instead award is part of their Salute to Senior Services program that celebrates the opportunities that volunteering offers seniors to foster good health, bring people together and provide meaningful activity.

While delighted to receive this award, Lee already feels rewarded every time she volunteers. "I get a good feeling in my heart when people tell me thank you."

Congratulations Lee for winning the local award, being eligible to win statewide volunteer recognition, and for your many wonderful contributions!
