Happy Chanukah from JCHE!

Posted: December 12, 2017

Dear Friend,

The Chanukah season is about creating light where there was darkness.  With this in mind, I want to shine a bright light on the welcoming spirit of JCHE and  share a bit of an email from Norman who recently moved into our Golda Meir House in Newton:

"This is a once in a lifetime experience. You move into a brand new place where it is so beautiful and everyone is so welcoming. It gives you the feeling that someone looks at you and says, ‘We care.’ To be so welcomed is very special."

Norman’s observations are right on.  We do care.  We are committed to creating welcoming, affordable communities where seniors of diverse backgrounds can live independently and, at the same time, come together in connection with others in dynamic, supportive communities.

This holiday season please support the kinds of communities all seniors deserve – where they feel welcomed, valued, and supported. That’s JCHE. Giving your time as a volunteer is a wonderful way to carry forward the welcoming spirit of JCHE. And a gift from you will support the award-winning programs and services that make JCHE a great place to age in community.

With warmth and gratitude,

Amy Schectman
President and CEO
