New 61-unit affordable senior community coming to Brighton in 2018!

JCHE is proud to announce that the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg House will open in the fall of 2018 in Brighton.

We invite you to discover JCHE’s Weinberg House, a non-sectarian senior independent living community located at 132 Chestnut Hill Avenue in the quiet Boston neighborhood of Brighton. The new, state-of-the-art sustainable building includes:  

  • Inviting resident common spaces
  • Fitness center equipped with state of the art equipment geared for seniors, as well as classes, instruction and lectures
  • Cultural and educational activities
  • Award-winning intergenerational programs 
  • Beautiful outdoor green space and a landscaped patio
  • JCHE shuttle making regularly scheduled stops and direct access to MBTA bus route 86 to Harvard Square and Cleveland Circle
  • Gateway to all amenities, services and programs at JCHE’s Brighton Campus which connects to Weinberg via a pedestrian bridge (http://www.jche.org/what-brighton-campus-offers.shtml)

The 61 affordable rental apartments (studios and one-bedrooms) feature:

  • Apartment layout with universal design features for comfortable living
  • Fully-equipped kitchens
  • Central air conditioning and individually controlled heating
  • Cable and internet access as well as 24-hour emergency call system

Select apartments are available for adults aging with life-long developmental disabilities with support services provided by Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JF&CS), and for formerly homeless seniors with support services provided by HEARTH Inc.
