YOU can improve the lives of low-income seniors.
We face a critical shortage of senior housing, and an even greater shortage of quality senior housing. Seniors in our community need housing that is safe, offers access to supports to enhance independence, and has opportunities to remain physically and mentally engaged. Seniors need housing that offers connectedness and builds community. Seniors need the type of housing that JCHE has proudly and skillfully provided for over four decades.
How does JCHE make a difference in the lives of seniors? When asked where they'd be if they did not live at JCHE, our residents describe situations that are unsafe, inadequate and lonely. They'd live in neighborhoods that are no longer welcoming, with family and friends far away. They'd be in living situations that were so isolating that days would go by without speaking to anyone. They'd be in overcrowded living arrangements with several generations of family, lacking privacy and self-reliance. They'd still be in the house that accommodated their young family but now poses the challenges of stairs and home repairs. They'd be stretching so far financially to meet living costs that their fears about becoming homeless are very real.
Donor ProfilesSupport from the Bilezikian Family Foundation Reflects Their Confidence in JCHE |
To provide top quality affordable housing, JCHE must rely on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations. Government funds help us build and maintain the buildings, and make them affordable to elders with limited income. But our services go well beyond bricks and mortar, and this requires funding sources that go well beyond government dollars.
You can improve the lives of low-income seniors and enable them to age well at home!
